Jim Pollard

James Clifford Pollard (born July 9, 1922 in Oakland , California , † January 22, 1993 in Stockton , California), called The Kangaroo Kid , was an American basketball player between 1947 and 1955. Pollard won six at the side of George Mikan Championships for the Minneapolis Lakers team in the National Basketball League (1948), the Basketball Association of America (1949) and the National Basketball Association (1950, 1952–1954). Pollard was 1.93 m tall and played in the position of small forward .

After his active career, Pollard worked as a college and NBA coach.
