Jo Filke

Josef Jo Filke (born October 9, 1921 in Bad Ziegenhals , Neisse district , Upper Silesia ; † September 11, 2001 in Schiffdorf , Cuxhaven district ) was a German architect.

Filke studied architecture at the Technikum Bremen from 1945 to 1955 . After working for six years in the Bremerhaven architects Geermann, he started his own business in 1955. Until 1994 he ran an architecture office in Bremerhaven. He became known for his church buildings. He died shortly before his 80th birthday. He left behind his wife Helma and the three daughters Vera, Irene and Eva . His wife died on March 20, 2018 and was buried in the Hamburg-Ohlsdorf cemetery.
