Joachim Körner (politician, 1925)
Joachim Körner (* 1925 in Cranzahl ; † June 15, 2012 in Braunschweig ) was a German lawyer , politician ( SPD ) and administrative officer . From 1980 to 1989 he was City Director of the City of Braunschweig.
Life
Körner, who comes from the Ore Mountains , studied law and economics in Erlangen after the Second World War . In 1955 he passed the state examination in law and then moved to Braunschweig, where he initially worked as a tax officer and from 1968 to 1980 as city treasurer . From February 1, 1980 to January 31, 1989, Körner was senior city director of the city of Braunschweig. At the same time he was head of the economic department . In 1989 he took early retirement at his own request and then worked as managing director of the Braunschweig Technology Park. Körner died in Braunschweig in 2012.
