Athletic career

Lengerer began playing football at the Tübingen district association TV Derendingen . From there he moved to TSG Tübingen , with whom he played in the third-class 1st amateur league Black Forest-Bodensee . In 1978 he missed the qualification for the newly created Oberliga Baden-Württemberg with the club and subsequently entered the Association League Württemberg. In 1979 he moved on with his brother Klaus Lengerer within the league to TSV Ofterdingen , in 1982 he rose with the team to the league. There he appeared as a regular goalscorer, with 15 goals this season in 33 league games, he placed eleventh on the list of goalscorers. While his club occupied only one relegation place at the end of the season 82/83 , he had recommended himself for higher tasks.

In the summer of 1983, the second division promoted SSV Ulm 1846 Lengerer, who contributed two goals to the successful start of the season in the 5-2 opening win against Rot-Weiss Essen in the second division season 1983/84 . Under coach Paul Sauter , however, he could not establish himself permanently in the regular formation, throughout the season he played in 14 games and scored five goals. After only one season he went back to the league, where he joined the SV Kuppenheim . With the club, which was trained by ex-professional Heinz Stickel from the late autumn of 1984 , however, he rose to fourth class alongside other ex-professionals such as Harald Heck , Friedhelm Sturm , Konrad Koffler and Klaus Beverungen . In 1986 he left the club with an unknown destination.

In the mid-1990s, Lengerer tried his hand at football . Among other things, he was in charge of SpVgg Mössingen , with which he was promoted to the District League Alb in the 1993/94 season .
