The TSG Tübingen is one in 1845 , was established sports club from the university town of Tübingen . Along with SV 03 Tübingen, it is the most famous sports club in the city.
Soccer
In the 1977/78 season, the TSG soccer team played in the 1st Amateur League Black Forest-Bodensee . After the league was dissolved, TSG was a founding member of the Württemberg League . They are currently playing in the association league since they were promoted to the regional league in 2017.
The cooperation with the Tübingen pop singer Dieter Thomas Kuhn caused a sensation, with whom the first team re-recorded the title Good Friends Can't Separate, originally sung by Franz Beckenbauer , and produced a video. The singer's likeness now graced the front of the jerseys.
volleyball
In the 1990s, volleyball women were successful in the Bundesliga . National players such as Ulrike Schmidt , Renate Riek , Beate Bühler , Karin Steyaert , Andrea Sauvigny and Jana Vollmer played at TSG under coaches Michael Schöps and Andreas Vollmer .
