Beate Bühler (born April 8, 1964 in Stuttgart , today Beate Faure) is a former German volleyball player and beach volleyball player .

Beate Faure lives today with her French husband Stéphane and two children in Gradignan near Bordeaux .

Career

Beate Bühler was a 341-time German national player. In 1984 she took part with the German national volleyball team at the Olympic Games in Los Angeles , where she finished sixth. Bühler played very successfully for the clubs TuS Stuttgart , SV Lohhof (four times German champions ), Racing Paris (four times French champions ), TSG Tübingen and the USC Münster .

At the same time as indoor volleyball, Beate Bühler started a career in beach volleyball alongside Danja Müsch and became European champion in her first beach season in 1994 . In 1995 she won the German championship in Timmendorfer Strand for the first time . In the following year it was only enough to take third place nationally, but there were some successes internationally. The duo Bühler / Müsch reached the final of the European Championships, made it to the finals of the World Tour three times (Italy, Indonesia and Belgium) and took seventh place at the Olympic Games in Atlanta . She was named Sportswoman of the Year by the Sports Association of the City of Münster at the 1993 Sports Ball. In addition, Beate Bühler was named beach volleyball player of the year in 1995 and 1996 .
