Beach volleyball player of the year
Beach volleyball player of the year is a title for beach volleyball players that has been awarded in Germany since 1995.

Since 1995, the readers of the specialist magazine Volleyball-Magazin have been voting for the beach volleyball player of the year. Among the men, Julius Brink is the most successful player with six awards. After winning the 2012 Olympics , he and his partner Jonas Reckermann were honored. It was the first choice that honors a duo. In 2019, the award went to Vice World Champion Clemens Wickler for the second time in a row .
After the Olympic victory in 2016 by Laura Ludwig and Kira Walkenhorst a duo was also awarded in women for the first time. Laura Ludwig holds the record for women with ten awards. She is also the current beach volleyball player of 2019.
