Joachim Ruppert (born September 6, 1962 in Heubach ) is a German politician ( SPD ) and has been the mayor of Groß-Umstadt since 2006 .

biography

Ruppert grew up with two siblings. He attended primary school in Heubach and then the Geiersberg school in Groß-Umstadt. At the Max-Planck-Gymnasium Groß-Umstadt he passed the Abitur in 1981 . After completing basic military service , he studied computer science at the University of Karlsruhe from 1983 to 1989 . In 1990 he moved back to Groß-Umstadt.

Ruppert worked for the Schenck Group in the area of ​​organization and data processing . He later worked for IBM and was active in the systems engineering area. Until 2001 he was the data center manager and department head for system technology at the Darmstadt and Frankfurt am Main locations .
