Joachim Sproß (born July 6, 1966 in Emsdetten ) is a former German handball player and today's coach. The 1.91 m tall left winger played for TSV Bayer Dormagen , TSV GWD Minden and TuS Nettelstedt in the Bundesliga . Occasionally he was also used in the position of the left backcourt player.

Career

Sproß first played for TV Emsdetten until 1989 and from 1989 to 1991 for OSC Dortmund in the 2nd Bundesliga . Then he moved to TSV Bayer Dormagen in the Bundesliga . With Dormagen he reached the DHB Cup final and the final of the IHF Cup in 1993 . In 1994 he moved to the second division TSV GWD Minden and celebrated promotion to the Bundesliga in the first year and relegation in the following season. He then moved to TuS Nettelstedt , with whom he won the Euro City Cup . However, his contract was canceled after a year. In the summer of 1997, Sproß acquired the coach B license , switched to the HCE Bad Oeynhausen club , rose to the league in 1998 and took over the position of player coach from 1999 . From 2003 he only exercised the position of coach for the first team and played for the second team in the district league . This was followed by a 10-month engagement with the second team of GWD Minden in the regional league and a 5 -month engagement with the second division TuS Spenge . Due to his professional move to southern Germany , contacts to the Swiss handball scene developed. He coached the U-15 regional team of Northwestern Switzerland for a few years , was assistant coach of the first division team RTV 1879 Basel in 2012 and in October 2013 coach of the second division team TV Möhlin . In Switzerland he also obtained the license "Federal professional trainer for competitive sports". Since 2014 he has been unemployed as a trainer.

Private and social management

Scion is a graduate social worker and was among other 1995-2002 debt counselor of Social Service of Catholic Women in Minden , from September 2008 to April 2015 Director of the Dieter Kaltenbach Foundation and from June 2015 to August 2017 Head of the youth, schools and sports of City administration of Loerrach . Since September 2017 he has been the Federal Managing Director of the German Society for Muscle Sick People in Freiburg im Breisgau .

He is married and has two daughters (* 1994 and 1998-2017) and a son, Felix (* 1997), who is also a handball player.
