Joachim Zschocke

Joachim Zschocke (born August 11, 1928 in Essen , † January 27, 2003 in Dresden ) was a German actor . As a character actor, he mastered a wide variety of roles in film , television and theater .

He played regularly in the crime series Polizeiruf 110 . But he was also seen in children's series, such as Spuk von Outside in 1988 , where he played Mayor Fuchs, or children's films such as The Blue Helmet (1979) or The Dragon Daniel (1989).

At the Staatstheater Dresden , where he had been engaged since 1963, he played roles like Richard III. , Tartuffe or Othello . He also successfully traveled through Germany as Thoas in Iphigenia on Tauris .

His last stage role was in the play Die Feuerzangenbowle at the side of Herbert Köfer in the comedy Dresden .

Zschocke also worked as a voice actor for film, television and radio plays , such as B. as Dr. Margulies in Almanach or Ein Märchen aus dem Randgebiet (1978), which received the Critics' Award for Authors (GDR). In 1995 Zschocke was awarded the Art Prize of the State Capital Dresden .

He had to quit acting in 2002 due to illness. He died in Dresden in 2003 and was buried in the Striesen cemetery .
