Joanna Scanlan

Joanna Scanlan (born October 27, 1961 in West Kirby , North West England ) is a British actress and screenwriter .

Joanna Scanlan studied history at Queens' College , Cambridge . At that time she was already engaged as an actor in the Cambridge University Footlights Dramatic Club . After graduating, she worked as an acting lecturer at universities for eight years. In the mid-1990s she became active as an actress for film and television.

In the sitcom Getting On from 2009 she not only played sister Den Flixter , but also worked on the scripts. She was nominated three times for a BAFTA TV Award . From 2015 she played the team leader Vivienne Deering in the crime series No Offence .

In total, she participated in over 80 productions.
