Joanne Wise

Joanne Wise (also Jo Wise ; born March 15, 1971 in Solihull ) is a former British long jumper .

At the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona and at the World Athletics Championships in 1993 in Stuttgart, she was eliminated in qualification. In 1997 she was fourth at the World Indoor Championships in Paris , but again did not get past the first round at the World Championships in Athens .

In 1998 she won the Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur for England . At the 1999 World Cup in Seville, she was fifth, and at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, she was one centimeter short of qualifying to advance.

In 1999 and 2000 she was English outdoor champion, in 1992, 1997 and 1999 indoors.
