Jochberg is a district of the municipality of Schneizlreuth in the Berchtesgadener Land district .

The village can only be reached by car via Jochbergstrasse from the district of Weißbach an der Alpenstrasse .

history

The district was settled as early as the 13th century. In 1346, Emperor Ludwig had the mule track over the Jochberg widened with a path for carts to the “Güldenen Salzstraße”, as this enabled high toll purchases.
