Jettenberg is a district of the municipality of Schneizlreuth in the district of Berchtesgadener Land and was an independent municipality until 1909.

history

The previously independent municipality of Jettenberg was merged on July 1, 1909 together with the then municipality of Ristfeucht to form the new municipality of Schneizlreuth.

The community was divided into the districts Unterjettenberg and Oberjettenberg . The administrative seat of the municipality was Unterjettenberg. Baumgarten as a further district of the municipality is only recorded in the official register of places from 1952, with the reference to the name not yet officially awarded , but at least the place name "Baumgarten" has been in use for a long time for the hamlet belonging to Jettenberg , as the historical map from 1832 ( Original position sheets ) proves.

At the census on May 25, 1987 Unterjettenberg had 221 inhabitants, Oberjettenberg 18 and Baumgarten 27.
