Fronau is a village and part of the municipality of Schneizlreuth in the Berchtesgadener Land district .

Fronai is separated from the Unterjettenberg district by federal road 21 and a tributary of the Salzach, the Saalach . The place can only be reached via the B 21 / B 305 . There is a drivable path from Kibling along the axis of the hall , but it is not intended for traffic.

The footbridge in Fronau is a popular turning point on the Saalach circular route for hikers and cyclists.

In 1892, the first concrete bridge in southern Germany was built in Fronau.
