Ebensberg is a district of Lüneburg in Lower Saxony . Until 1974 the place was an independent municipality.

Economy and Infrastructure
The district is located in the northeast of the city along Erbstorfer Landstrasse. Ebensberg is also the only district with significant parts east of the eastern bypass. The district is divided into two parts. The actual village is located southeast of the Erbstorfer Landstrasse; the newer part is mainly north of this. Both areas are still separated today by a green strip. The area south of the new part is to be built on in the near future, so far there are mainly some outdoor facilities of the Theodor-Körner barracks .
