Career

Club career

In 1997 Bathe was one of the founders of the Floorball Federation of Saxony-Anhalt. In the first season of the Unihockey Bundesliga 1998/99 he played for the Cyclone Team Halle , with whom he became German champion. In the following season he switched to UHC Zuger Highlands in the third highest league in Switzerland during the winter break before returning to Halle in October. Then he moved to UHV Konstanz . Soon afterwards he was drawn to stations all over Germany , such as Berlin, where he played at BA Tempelhof Berlin . Then he went to the Unihockey-Löwen Leipzig until he landed again for a season at his home club in Halle in 2004. In 2005 he moved to Switzerland for the second time to the Zug Highlands, for which he again played for one season

In 2006, the then center striker joined the KAC floorball in Austria and promptly became an undisputed regular. In contrast to the past, he did not change the club. He experienced ups and downs with the club, such as the relegation in 2008 or the near-title in 2015. In the Red Jackets, he was converted into a defender. In this position he is considered one of the best in recent years. In 2013 he declared his career over, but returned a year later. After the runner-up title in 2015, he finally ended his career at the age of 44 and then became assistant coach at the Rotjacken. He still fills this role today. He also looks after the U11 and U13 of KAC Floorball with Peter Mack .

National team

Jochen Bathe completed around 70 international matches for the German national team, making him the player with the most international experience in the history of KAC Floorball.
