The sport of floorball has developed structurally in Germany since the end of the 1990s to such an extent that under the umbrella of the German Floorball Federation (DUB) (today: Floorball Association Germany ), national leagues were created on the large field for both men and women in which German champions are played every year . In 2010 the sport and with it the national leagues were renamed to the internationally common term floorball.
