Jochen F. Kirchhoff
Jochen Melchior Friedrich Kirchhoff (born April 21, 1927 in Iserlohn ; † December 18, 2019 ) was a German entrepreneur . He was chairman of the advisory board and the group of shareholders of the vehicle component and tool manufacturer Kirchhoff Group in Iserlohn.
Live and act
Jochen Friedrich Kirchhoff studied mining and mechanical engineering at the Technical University of Clausthal from 1946 to 1950 and then until 1952 economics at the University of Cologne . In 1953 he was awarded a Dr.-Ing. PhD .
From 1953 to 1968 he worked at Deutsche Babcock in Oberhausen, where he was a member of the board from 1963 to 1968. From 1968 to 1992 he was the owner and managing director of the family business Stephan Witte & Comp. in Iserlohn. From 1993 he was chairman of the management board and from 2007 chairman of the advisory board and the circle of shareholders of the Kirchhoff Group in Iserlohn.
In addition to his entrepreneurial activity, he was a managerial member of economic committees and associations. He was Vice President of the Institute for German Business and a member of the Presidium of the Confederation of German Employers' Associations . From 1983 to 2004 he was President of the State Association of Employers' Associations North Rhine-Westphalia and from 1983 to 1997 as President of the Association of the Metal and Electrical Industry in North Rhine-Westphalia, then as Honorary President of both associations.
He was deputy chairman of the supervisory board of the pension insurance association in Cologne, member of the supervisory board of Deutsche Nickel AG in Schwerte, the United Deutsche Nickel-Werke AG in Düsseldorf and the TÜV Mitte AG in Essen. In addition, he was on the advisory board of Wilhelm Berg in Altena, Deutsche Bank AG , Wuppertal district, Heidelberger Zement AG and Märkisches Stahldrahtwerk GmbH in Altena.
Jochen F. Kirchhoff was a member of the Corps Hercynia Clausthal .
