Jochen Klings (born June 2, 1924 in Ludwigstal OS, today Dolędzin , also Joachim Klings ) is a German politician ( GB / BHE , REP ).

Klings attended elementary school and high school in Kosel , in 1942 he left them with a certificate of maturity. He was then called up for the Reich Labor Service and later for the flak . In 1944 he took part in the retreat fighting in France, in which he was wounded. He became a prisoner of war in the United States, but was released to Fürth in 1945, where he now settled. In 1946, Klings began to study economics as a working student in Erlangen . In 1949 he was able to complete his studies with a degree in economics, followed by his doctorate two years later. From 1952 on, he worked in industry as a social and personnel officer.

Klings was politically active in GB / BHE, where he held the office of chairman of the Fürth-Stadt district association as well as the deputy district chairman in Middle Franconia . In addition, he was also chairman of the Fürth district association of the Silesian Landsmannschaft . From 1952 he was a member of the Fürth city council. In the state elections in 1958 , Klings was elected to the Bavarian state parliament in the constituency of Middle Franconia . There he is a member of the Committee for Economics and Transport. After one electoral term, Klings resigned from the state parliament because his party failed to return to the state parliament in 1962 .

Klings later moved to Bad Homburg vor der Höhe and joined the Republicans. For a time he was the state chairman of the Hessian republicans and was a member of the Homburg city council and the district council of the Hochtaunuskreis. After the local elections in 1993 , however, he was expelled from the district parliamentary group for statements glorifying the war. This led to further group exits, so that of the original eight Republicans now four left the group and formed a new group. In the city council he was also parliamentary group leader of his party.

In the state elections in 1991 and 1995 , Klings ran as the top candidate for the Republicans. In 1995 he ran as a direct candidate in the constituency of Hochtaunus I and achieved a first vote result of 1.9 percent.

In the local elections in 2016 , Klings, now 91 years old, ran again for the district assembly of the Hochtaunus district and the city council of Bad Homburg vor der Höhe.
