Jochen Zwecker

Jochen Zwecker (born July 9, 1936 in Birkenwerder ) is a Hessian politician ( SPD ) and a former member of the Hessian state parliament .

Life

Jochen Zwecker studied after graduation Law and graduated in 1967 with the promotion of Dr. jur. from. The title of his doctoral thesis was The Secession of Katanga and the Intervention of the United Nations . Between 1967 and 1973 he was mayor of Alsfeld (his successor was Hans-Ulrich Lipphardt (SPD), who was later to become his successor as district administrator and head of the OVAG).

He was elected on December 20, 1972 by the district council as the first district administrator of the newly formed Vogelsberg district. The office he took up in January 1973 he held until January 1985, when Gerulf Herzog (CDU) was elected in his place by the CDU / FDP majority in the district council. But already in the local elections in Hesse in 1985 , the SPD again achieved an absolute majority and after several months voted out Herzog and Zwecker again as district administrator.

In the state elections in Hesse in 1987 and 1991 , Jochen Zwecker was elected to the Hessian state parliament as a direct candidate in the Vogelsberg constituency. After his election as district administrator of the Vogelsbergkreis , he resigned from the state parliament on January 25, 1994. From 1994 onwards, he was chairman of the board of directors of Oberhessische Vertriebsbetriebe AG (OVAG) for six years . He has been retired since July 2000. From 1979 to 1993 he was a member of the state executive committee of the SPD Hessen .
