Rudolf Marx (born February 14, 1943 in Braunsberg , East Prussia ) is a German local politician ( CDU ). From 2000 to 2012 he was District Administrator of the Vogelsbergkreis .

Life

Born in 1943 in Braunsberg, East Prussia, Rudolf Marx grew up in Wartenberg - Angersbach in Vogelsberg after being expelled . After attending elementary school, he completed an apprenticeship as a carpenter at Oberhessische Holzwerke . At the Federal Border Police , he made up his Abitur and completed training to become an officer and graduate in administration . From 1973 to 1997 he worked as a police chief inspector at the Federal Border Guard in Alsfeld .

In 1978 Rudolf Marx joined the CDU. From 1981 he was a member of the city council of Romrod and the district council of the Vogelsbergkreis. From 1987 until his election as a full-time district member in July 1997, he was a member of the district committee .

On February 20, 2000, Marx was directly elected to the district administrator of the Vogelsberg district with 53.0 percent of the vote. This made him the fourth elected district administrator in Vogelsberg. In the district election on March 26, 2006, Marx was directly re-elected with 55.6 percent and confirmed in office. His term of office ranged from June 10, 2006 to June 9, 2012. Marx did not stand for re-election due to his age. After the result of the district election on November 20, 2011, Manfred Görig (SPD) became the new district administrator on June 10, 2012.

In 2013 Marx became honorary chairman of the CDU city association Romrod.

Rudolf Marx is married and has two adult sons.
