Jodie Lee Ann Sweetin (born January 19, 1982 in Los Angeles , California ) is an American actress .

Life

Career

Jodie Sweetin was already at the age of four years in an advertising spot for hot dogs from Oscar Mayer to see. She had her first role in 1987 in the television series The Hogan Clan . She was the 1992 voice actress for Lucy Van Pelt in the cartoon It's Christmastime Again, Charlie Brown . From 1987 to 1995 she played the role of Stephanie Tanner in the comedy series Full House . She also had guest appearances on the comedy series Brothers and the youth series Party of Five .

From 1995 to 1999 she attended high school in Los Alamitos , where she graduated from high school . From 1999 to 2003 she studied communication sciences at Chapman University in Orange in the US state of California. There she was also a member of America's oldest fraternity for women, Alpha Phi. After graduating, she planned a career in teaching .

As of 2009, she had minor roles in films and a series. From 2016 to 2020 she starred in the sequel to Full House called Fuller House .

Private

On July 27, 2002, Sweetin married her first husband Shaun Holguin. In addition to their family and friends, the actors from Full House were invited to the ceremony .

She tried methamphetamine for the first time when she was 22 . Six months after first using it, she was addicted. She kept the addiction a secret from her husband for two years. Her addiction came to light after she was hospitalized in 2005. The subsequent withdrawal was successful. When she appeared on television on Good Morning America on February 1, 2006, she first spoke publicly about her addiction. Their marriage was divorced on February 23, 2006.

On July 14, 2007, Sweetin married the set designer Cody Herpin in Las Vegas. Their daughter was born on April 12, 2008. On April 20, 2010, this marriage was also divorced.

Since 2009 Sweetin was in a relationship with the DJ Morty Coyle. Their daughter was born on August 31, 2010. The couple had been married since March 12, 2012. In June 2013, Sweetin filed for divorce because of "irreconcilable differences". The couple divorced on September 7, 2016.

In 2009 Sweetin's book Unsweetined was published , in which she writes about her addiction and her life. Sweetin now lives in Los Alamitos .
