Joe Stillman

Joe Stillman (born August 1, 1959 ) is an American screenwriter .

Career

Stillman's screenwriting career began in 1991 on the television series Doug . This was followed by further engagements in television series such as Pete & Pete , Beavis and Butt-Head and his feature film Beavis and Butt-Head Do It in America , Clueless - Die Chaos-Clique and King of the Hill . For his work on the script but also as a producer on King of the Hill , Stillman was twice nominated for an Emmy .

For his artistic achievements on the screenplay for Shrek , Stillman received a nomination for the "Best Adapted Screenplay" category at the 2002 Academy Awards . The award went to the competition from A Beautiful Mind . At the BAFTA Awards , he was able to accept the award and prevail against Akiva Goldsman . He also received an Annie Award for his work . For the sequel , he worked on the script with Andrew Adamson , J. David Stem and David N. Weiss .
