Joel Bergvall

Joel Bergvall (born March 8, 1973 in Järfälla , Stockholm County , Sweden ) is a Swedish film producer , screenwriter , film editor , cameraman and film director .

Life

In 1998 Bergvall made the children's film Victor with Simon Sandquist . He worked on the short film as director, screenwriter, cameraman, editor and sound engineer. The film was named Best Children's Film at the Uppsala International Short Film Festival and was nominated for an Oscar in the Best Short Film category the following year . Bergvall was 25 years old at the time of the Oscar nomination. In 2002, together with Simon Sandquist, the thriller Invisible was created . The film was at the Hamburg Film Festival with the role Golden scotch tape excellent, 2007 was a Hollywood - remake titled Invisible - Between two worlds . Bergvall moved to the United States , where he once again directed the mystery thriller Possession, starring Sarah Michelle Gellar , alongside Simon Sandquist . Since then he has mainly worked as a cameraman, film editor and producer for US television.
