Johan Molin (born October 25, 1976 in Nacka ) is a Swedish ice hockey player who has been under contract with Bajen Fans Hockey in Division 3 since 2010.
Career
Johan Molin began his career as a hockey player at Hammarby IF , for whose professional team he was active from 1993 to 1997 in the then second-rate Division 1. The attacker then played for VIK Västerås HK in the Elitserien for three years before spending the 2000/01 season with their league rivals Brynäs IF . For the 2001/02 season he went abroad for the first time, where he received a contract with the Ayr Scottish Eagles from the British Ice Hockey Superleague . For this he scored five goals in a total of 15 games and gave another seven templates.
The 2002/03 season completed Molin at HC Innsbruck in the Austrian Hockey League . There he was completely convincing and with his personal best of 35 goals was the best scorer in the entire league. Then the DEG Metro Stars from the German Ice Hockey League took notice of him, but there he could not prevail with eleven points in 52 games, so that his contract was not extended and he returned to Sweden. For his ex-club Hammarby IF he ran in the second-rate HockeyAllsvenskan .
For the 2005/06 season Molin was signed by SHC Fassa from the Italian Serie A1 before he was under contract for four years in the Elite Ice Hockey League - first one season for Manchester Phoenix and then three seasons for Nottingham Panthers . During his time in Manchester, he was elected to the league's Second All-Star Team in 2007. With Nottingham he was the 2008 Challenge Cup champion before he was voted Nottingham's Player of the Year in the 2008/09 season by both his teammates and his team's fans. The 2009/10 season ended the Swede at Sparta Sarpsborg in the Norwegian GET-ligaen , for which he scored two goals and three assists in 16 games. He then joined the Swedish amateur club Bajen Fans Hockey from fifth class Division 3.
