Johana Patricia Arrieta Madera (born September 2, 1998 in Montería ) is a Colombian middle-distance runner .

Athletic career

For the first time at an international championship, Johana Arrieta competed at the Youth South American Championships 2014 in Cali , where she won gold over 800 meters, as well as at the Pan American Youth Championships in 2015. At the Youth World Championships , she finished seventh with a new best performance. In 2016 she reached the semi-finals at the Junior World Championships in Bydgoszcz . In 2017, she took third place with the Colombian 4 x 400 meter relay in the B final of the IAAF World Relays 2017 in the Bahamas . At the Junior South American Championships in Leonora , she won over 800 meters and won silver with the relay. A little later she became the South American champion at the championships in Luque .
