Johann Adam Karinger

Johann Adam Karinger (also Johann Adam Kharinger ; * before 1690; † 1742 ) was a stonemason and stone sculptor .

Life

Karinger, who presumably came from Tyrol , is documented in 1716 in Silesia . After he passed the master's examination in Breslau and acquired citizenship , he founded a stonemason and sculpture workshop there. Together with well-known baroque artists, he mainly worked on Jesuit buildings. In addition to sculpting, he also created foundations and wall cladding.
