Christoph Hackner (* 16th March 1663 in Jawor , Duchy of Jawor , † 2. April 1741 in Breslau ) was a German architect of the Baroque .

Life

Christoph Hackner learned the mason trade in his hometown and then went on the usual years of traveling as a journeyman . After his return he received training as a master builder with Johann Georg Knoll in Breslau from 1695 to 1696 . In 1705 he was appointed the oldest of his guild and building inspector ( inheritance ) of the Wroclaw magistrate. In 1716 he rose to the position of master builder ( city ​​mason ) in Breslau and was given the task of rebuilding the city court. In the last years of his life he rose to the position of court architect of the Breslau prince-bishop Philipp Ludwig Cardinal von Sinzendorf .
