Johann Bohle

Johann Peter Bohle (born November 29, 1896 in Dornbirn , † March 20, 1970 in Frastanz ) was an Austrian politician and pastor. From 1934 to 1938 he was a member of the Vorarlberg state parliament .

education and profession

Bohle first attended elementary school in his native Dornbirn and then graduated from the Vinzentinum grammar school in Brixen from 1908 to 1914 . In 1914 he switched to the grammar school in Bregenz (today Bundesgymnasium Blumenstrasse ) and passed his Matura here in 1915 . Between 1915 and 1918 Bohle served as a lieutenant in the first Kaiserschützen regiment in the mountain infantry in South Tyrol .

After the end of the war, Bohle studied theology at the University of Innsbruck from 1918 , completing his studies in 1922. In 1927 he received his doctorate in theology (Dr. theol.). Bohle was ordained a priest on April 9, 1922 and worked as an early knife in the Vorarlberg parish of St. Gallenkirch from 1923 to 1927 . He then worked from 1927 to 1939 as an early knife in Götzis . Most recently, Bohle worked as a pastor in Frastanz from 1939, where he worked until his death. He was also active as a state youth minister. Bohle was appointed to the clergy .

Politics and functions

Bohle was during his studies member of Cartellverband connection Austria Innsbruck . He was a member of the diocesan church council in Innsbruck and founder of the Kolping family von Götzis. In 1934 he was appointed as a representative of the legally recognized church and religious societies by the Vorarlberg governor to be a member of the state parliament and subsequently belonged to the state parliament during the period of the corporate state and Austrofascism from November 14, 1934 until the annexation of Austria on March 12, 1938 Landtag. After the National Socialists came to power in Austria, Bohle was appointed the representative (liquidator) of all Catholic associations in Vorarlberg in 1939.

Johann Bohle was born as the son of the Dornbirn factory worker Johann Peter Bohle (1852-1916) and his wife Barbara Rusch (1873-1953).
