Johann Christian Hasche
Johann Christian Hasche (born January 1, 1744 in Nieska near Mühlberg, † July 25, 1827 in Dresden ) was an Evangelical Lutheran theologian, historian and author.
Life
Hasche attended the Dresden Kreuzschule and studied Protestant theology in Leipzig from 1768 to 1773 , but also heard other lectures during this time, for example by Christian Fürchtegott Gellert . After working as a private tutor he became a preacher and pastor for the prisoners in the fortress of the city of Dresden at the beginning of January 1789 . He held this position until his retirement in 1822.
Hasche made a name for himself primarily through his historical work on the history of Dresden.
