Johann Christian Hasse

Johann Christian Hasse (born July 24, 1779 in Kiel , † November 18, 1830 in Bonn ) was a German legal scholar.

Life

After attending the Husum School of Academics , Hasse studied at the University of Kiel , where he became a student of Anton Friedrich Justus Thibaut and received the Schass scholarship from 1798 . At this educational institution he became a private lecturer and syndic in 1805 . In 1811 he obtained his doctorate in law there and in 1811 was appointed professor of law at the University of Jena . In Jena he was also a judge of appeals . In 1813, Hasse moved to the University of Königsberg , where he took part in the university's organizational tasks as the prorector of the Alma Mater in the 1815 summer semester .

In 1818 he followed a call to the University of Berlin as professor for pandects and German private law. In 1821, Hasse moved to Bonn University as Professor of Law . Here he worked 1825/26 as rector of the university. From 1828 he was at the side of Friedrich Bluhme , Georg Friedrich Puchta and Eduard Puggé co-editor of the legal journal The Rhenish Museum of Jurisprudence .
