Johannes August Christoph Gottfried Erdmann (born January 10, 1801 in Schwaan , † January 22, 1883 in Rostock ) was a German Lutheran pastor and parliamentarian.

Life

Johannes August Christoph Gottfried Erdmann was the son of the preposition Johann Ernst Friedrich Erdmann and the younger brother of the orientalist Franz von Erdmann . From 1818 he studied theology at the University of Rostock . After passing his exams, he was pastor at the village church of Bössow from 1826 . From 1829 to 1877 he worked as a pastor at the Marienkirche in Klütz . In 1848 he was a member of the Mecklenburg Assembly of Representatives for the constituency of Mecklenburg-Schwerin 12 and there the left center .
