Johann Feltrup

Johann Anton Jodokus Feltrup (born February 10, 1886 in Leer (East Frisia) , † June 1, 1973 in Alfeld (Leine) ) was a German Lutheran theologian.

Life

Feltrup studied theology in Leipzig, where he was a member of the Leipziger Wingolf , and was ordained in Hanover on November 3, 1911 . After working as an assistant pastor in Hanover, he became pastor in Ockenhausen in 1913 , pastor in Blumenthal in 1916 , study director of the Erichsburg seminary in 1920 , superintendent in Rotenburg (Wümme) in 1925 and superintendent in Hamburg-Harburg in 1932 . During the church struggle in 1934, regional bishop August Marahrens appointed Feltrup as episcopal vicar. In February 1935 he assigned Feltrup to the Lüneburg district. From 1936 to 1954 Feltrup was pastor in Medingen and regional superintendent of the Lüneburg district of the Evangelical Lutheran regional church of Hanover . He retired on March 1, 1954.
