Johann Friedrich List
Johann Friedrich List (* 1787 in Marienwerder , West Prussia ; † 1868 in Berlin ) was a German administrative lawyer .
Life
List studied law at the Albertus University in Königsberg . After the exams and the auscultation training , he entered the internal administration of Prussia . In 1826 he became Lord Mayor of Königsberg . Since he, too , was unable to get the war debt canceled in 1807 after the Wars of Liberation , he was not re-elected in 1838. He retired to his estate Ankern in the Oberland (East Prussia) .
