Hermann Theodor Hoffmann

Hermann Theodor Hoffmann (born October 20, 1836 in Groß Lauth ; † September 6, 1902 in Königsberg i. Pr. ) Was a German administrative lawyer and municipal official. He sat in the Reichstag and in the Prussian mansion.

Life

Hoffmann attended the Löbenichtsche Realgymnasium and studied law at the Albertus University in Königsberg . In 1856 he became a member of the Königsberg fraternity in Gothia . After that he was auscultator, trainee lawyer and government assessor from November 1863 to April 1866, first in Königsberg, then in Gumbinnen . From May 1866 to March 1872 he was city treasurer of Stettin and from April 1872 to April 1884 city treasurer of Königsberg. From April 1884 he was Second Mayor and from 1893 to 1902 Lord Mayor of the city of Königsberg. In the year of his death he was made an honorary citizen.

As a member of the National Liberal Party , he represented the Reichstag constituency of Königsberg 3 (Königsberg-Stadt) in the German Reichstag from 1887 to 1890 . From 1893 to 1902 he sat in the "OB faction" of the Prussian manor house .
