Johann Georg wooden arch
Johann Georg Holzbogen (born August 15, 1727 in Schwandorf ; † September 7, 1775 in Munich ) was a German violinist and composer .
Life
Nothing is known about Holzbogen's musical training. As early as 1751 he worked as a violinist in the Munich court orchestra , initially unpaid, then as a chamber virtuoso with Duke Clemens Franz . In 1759 he sent him to study composition and violin with Giuseppe Tartini in Padua . After the Duke's death in 1770, Holzbogen initially moved into a pension and in 1771 was accepted into the electoral court orchestra.
