Johann Georg Schwab (photographer)

Johann Georg Schwab (born February 15, 1784 - † May 15, 1852 in Hanover ) was a German engraver , entrepreneur , lithographer and one of the first photographers in Hanover in the 19th century.

Life

Born during the time of the Electorate of Hanover , Johann Georg Schwab founded his own "lithographic workshop , which existed until his son's death in 1878".

At the time of the Kingdom of Hanover , Schwab was listed in the list of estates in the address book of the city of Hanover in 1845 as one of initially only three in the royal seat under the heading Daguerreotypeur - alongside Friedrich Wunder and Adolf L. Solling .

"Schwab, Joh. Georg, lithographer, stone printer and photographer" was recorded in the address book from 1856 in the house at 4 Seilwinderstraße .
