Johann Gottlieb Christaller
Johann Gottlieb Christaller (born November 19, 1827 in Winnenden ; † December 16, 1895 in Stuttgart ) was a missionary and linguist in the service of the Basel Mission . He was the father of Erdmann Gottreich Christaller , of Theodor Christaller, the first “imperial school teacher” in Cameroon, of Hanna Christaller, who wrote colonial novellas ( Togo ), and the grandfather of Walter Christaller .
Among other things, he devoted himself to research into the Twi language.
