Johann Heinrich Christoph Seffer

Johann Heinrich Christoph Seffer (born June 18, 1783 in Dollbergen , † June 6, 1848 in Alfeld an der Leine ) was a German pedagogue , teacher and headmaster in Alfeld.

Life

Seffer received his education as a teacher in Hanover at the school teacher seminar there .

From 1810 he worked at the Alfeld Latin School . In the same year - during the so-called " French era " - a relocation of the teachers' seminar, which had previously been in Salzdetfurth under the supervision of the theologian and consistorial councilor August Friedrich Brackmann and led by senior teacher August Billerbeck , was planned for the first time to Alfeld, which was then solemnly planned on July 21, 1813 was opened in Alfeld. The actual founder was the founder of the Alfeld school teacher seminar , however, Seffer, who worked in the Latin school building until 1848.
