Johann Josef Nehr
Johann Josef Nehr (Czech Jan Josef Nehr ; May 8, 1752 in Tepl - September 13, 1820 in Marienbad ) was a Bohemian monastery doctor and founder of Marienbad as a health resort .
Nehr studied at the University of Prague , where he received his doctorate in 1778. med. received his doctorate. From 1779 he worked as a monastery doctor in the Premonstratensian Monastery of Tepl . He propagated the healing power of the sources of Marienbad and founded the spa town Marienbad together with the abbot of the monastery Chrysostomus Laurentius Pfrogner and Karl Prokop Reiterberger .
