Johann Michael Strickner (painter)
Johann Michael Strickner (born August 11, 1720 in Innsbruck ; † November 16, 1759 there ) was an Austrian painter .
Life
Johann Michael Strickner learned together with Martin Knoller with the painter Ignaz Pögel in Innsbruck. He mainly created frescoes and altarpieces for churches in the Innsbruck area. He had a daughter and two sons, one of whom Joseph Leopold Strickner became known as a painter and engraver.
