Johann Nepomuk Wening , from 1821 von Wening-Ingenheim , (also Johann Nepomuk von Wening , partly also Wenning ; born November 15, 1790 in Hohenaschau im Chiemgau , † October 16, 1831 in Munich ) was a German law scholar and university professor .

Life

Wening was born the son of an accountant. He graduated from Munich high school and in 1809 went to the University of Landshut , where he first studied philosophy and then law. On 28 March 1811 he was with the winning essay About the relation of essence to the form of the philosophy of Dr. phil. PhD . In 1813 he moved to the University of Göttingen , where he obtained a doctorate in both rights . After his return in 1814, he completed his habilitation at Landshut University with the title Ueber die Geist der Studien der Jurisprudenz . He was also a city ​​judge in Munich.

Wening received yet in 1814 a full professor of civil law at the University of Landshut and was awarded the royal 1818 Councilor title awarded. With the acquisition of a Hofmark in 1821 he was raised to the nobility as von Wening-Ingenheim . In 1826 he moved to Munich with the university and was henceforth professor of civil law at the university of Munich . He died in office.
