Johann Nicolaus Jacob from Coll

Johann Nicolaus Jacob Ritter and Edler von Coll (born February 10, 1781 in Koblenz ; † March 12, 1872 there ) was mayor of Zell on the Moselle .

Life

Johann Nicolaus Jacob Ritter und Edler von Coll was born in Koblenz as the son of the Electorate Privy Councilor and office director Johann Hugo Joseph Ritter und Edler von Coll and his wife Maria Ferdinandine Josepha von Stefné .

After studying political science in Marburg and working as a senior tax collector in Bebra , he was mayor of Sankt Goar . His first marriage was to Anna Gertrud Justi from Marburg, and his second marriage to her sister Anna Margarethe Elisabeth Justi . On May 10th 1823 Johann Nicolaus Jacob became mayor of Zell an der Mosel. After his tenure, he moved to Koblenz-Ehrenbreitstein and wrote two of his works there: “Chronicle of the Kaimt Community” (1823–1847, written in Ehrenbreitstein, April 30, 1848) and “Chronicle of the village of Alf” (1823–1847, written zu Ehrenbreitstein, 1851)
