Johann Peter Berg

Johann Peter Berg (born September 3, 1737 in Bremen , † March 3, 1800 in Duisburg ) was a German Protestant theologian and orientalist .

Life

After Johann Peter Berg completed his education in Leiden , he became professor of Greek and Oriental languages in Bremen in 1762 . 1763, however, he moved after Duisburg , by 36 years as a lecturer at the local university to teach almost all theological doctrines. He held this position until shortly before his death on March 3, 1800.
