Johann Philipp Hofmann

Johann Philipp Hofmann (born December 22, 1873 in Seligenstadt ; † October 21, 1926 ibid) was a Hessian politician ( center ) and former member of the Landtag of the People's State of Hesse in the Weimar Republic .

Johann Philipp Hofmann was the son of master cooper Johann Leonhardt Hofmann and his wife Philippine, née Burkard. Johann Philipp Hofmann, who was a Catholic, remained unmarried. Johann Philipp Hofmann was a businessman and factory owner in Seligenstadt. In 1907 he became general secretary of the Hessian farmers' association.

On July 9, 1918, he entered the second chamber of the state estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse by supplementary election . In the estates he represented the constituency of Starkenburg 9 / Lampertheim . After the November Revolution he was elected to the Landtag of the People's State of Hesse , to which he belonged for three electoral terms. After his departure in 1925, Hans Lautenbacher replaced him in the state parliament.
