Georg Martin

Georg Karl Ludwig Martin (born January 26, 1816 in Roßdorf ; † July 10, 1881 in Darmstadt ) was a geometer and member of the Reichstag .

Martin attended the teacher training college in Friedberg for two years and worked as a teacher from 1834 to 1839. In 1839 he was examined as a geometer and was busy with the surveying of the Grand Duchy of Hesse. From 1858 to 1865 he was a partner in a stoneware factory.

From 1862 to 1866 he was a member of the II. Hessian Chamber in Darmstadt for the German Progressive Party and a member of the National Association. From 1871 to 1881 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the National Liberal Party and for the constituency of the Grand Duchy of Hesse ( Bensheim - Erbach ).
