Louis Auler

Lorenz Ludwig "Louis" Auler (born February 11, 1853 in Wiesbaden-Biebrich ; † January 23, 1922 in Bensheim ) was a Hessian cigarette manufacturer and politician ( NLP ) and a former member of the 2nd Chamber of the Estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .

Louis Auler was the son of the cigarette manufacturer Louis Auler and his wife Elisabeth nee Kessler. In 1877 he married Elisabeth Usinger, born in Bensheim (1858–1910), the daughter of the ministerial councilor and member of the state parliament, Julius Usinger, and his wife, Louise Jeanette, born Müller.

Like his father, Louis Auler was a cigarette manufacturer in Bensheim. The latter founded the first tobacco factory in Bensheim in 1862.

In the 33rd to 36th electoral term (1905–1915) Louis Auler was a member of the second chamber of the state estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse. In the estates he represented the constituency of Starkenburg 11 / Bensheim-Zwingenberg .
