Aleksandar Jovanovic (born May 4, 1971 in Rottweil ) is a German film actor of Serbian descent. He is married to actress Clelia Sarto and has one daughter.

Career

He completed his training at the Stage School Hamburg with a focus on acting and dance. Further qualifications in New York, Toronto and Berlin. He became known to a wide audience in 1998 through the film drama Short and Painless by Fatih Akin . Since then he has appeared regularly in German film and television productions, e.g. B. one of the main roles in the 2007 remake of Treasure Island and also worked as a short film director . He has also gained musical experience, including in the Bochum roller-skate musical Starlight Express , in Grease and the Rocky Horror Show . In 2010 he played in Alarm for Cobra 11 in the episode The attack and in 2011 in Polizeiruf 110 in the episode Feindbild and was also seen in a TV commercial for the car manufacturer Opel . Jovanovic played a supporting role in the action film Collide by director Eran Creevy , which was released in 2016 . In the same year he played a role in the Christmas special The Return of Doctor Mysterio the British science fiction - television series Doctor Who .
