Rendezvous is after Hotel Metamorphosis and Zu dir? the third film and diploma film by director Sylvia Borges at the Art Academy for Media from 2013 . It was created in cooperation with Zuendel Film UG, the southern German broadcaster Bayerischer Rundfunk and the Franco-German broadcaster Arte . The production was supported by the Film- und Medienstiftung NRW .

Carla (mid 20s) plunges headlong into an amour fou . When Jacob (late 40s) calls her and asks Carla to come to Paris, she quits her internship in an advertising agency, leaves everything and hitchhikes to Paris with the last of the money in her pocket. She has only known this man from a few brief meetings, but she would do anything to see him again and to please him. On the way, she dreams of her rendezvous in the “city of love”. But when she arrived in Paris, she experienced an overcrowded metropolis that was more concerned with itself than with romance and poetry. When meeting Jacob, the dreamed future also turns out to be a mirage. Carla buries her false dreams and makes room for what actually surrounds her. She comes to the realization that a disappointment means not only the loss of a dream, but also the liberation from a delusion. She writes a farewell note in Jacob's memory with a bitter-sweet lesson.

Rendezvous was shown on August 13, 2014 by the southern German broadcaster Bayerischer Rundfunk as part of its short film night format. Part of the previous magazine was an interview with the director Sylvia Borges, which was recorded during the 15th Landshut Short Film Festival.
Rendezvous was shown on June 19, 2014 as part of the short film magazine Kurzschluss on the Franco-German broadcaster ARTE .
